Terms of Use

In short: Petiko helps you organise your pet's care and gives general information. It is not a veterinarian. Subscriptions are billed and managed by the store you bought them from.
1. Using Petiko
By installing or using Petiko ("the app") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control. You must be an adult to use the AI assistant.
2. Not veterinary advice
Petiko, including its AI assistant, provides general information only. It cannot examine your pet and does not provide veterinary diagnosis, treatment or emergency services. Answers generated by AI can be incomplete or wrong. Always consult a qualified veterinarian about your pet's health, and contact one immediately in an emergency. Do not delay or disregard professional advice because of something you read in the app.
3. Reminders
Reminders depend on your device's notification settings, battery and system restrictions, and may be delayed or not delivered. Do not rely on the app as the only reminder for medication or other time-critical care.
4. Your content
The information you enter about your pets stays on your device and remains yours. You are responsible for keeping your own backup. Deleting the app deletes this data. Questions you send to the AI assistant are processed as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not send content that is unlawful or that includes other people's personal information.
5. Free plan, Petiko Pro and extra checks
Petiko can be used for free within the limits shown in the app. Petiko Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly) that raises those limits and unlocks additional features. A one-time pack of extra AI checks may also be offered. Current prices and what is included are shown in the app before you buy. AI allowances and fair-use limits may change over time; changes do not reduce a period you have already paid for.
Purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to that store's terms. Payment is charged to your store account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Refunds are handled by the store under its own policy. Extra checks are stored on your device and may be lost if you delete the app or change device.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the app, including by attempting to bypass usage limits, interfering with its operation, reverse engineering it where this is not permitted by law, or using the AI assistant for purposes unrelated to pet care.
7. Availability and changes
We may update, change or discontinue features. The AI assistant relies on third-party services and may be unavailable at times. We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
8. Disclaimer and liability
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any harm to a pet resulting from reliance on information in the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.
